With over 38 years experience in healthcare, Colleen A. Strom has gained an impressive array of practical experience and skills encompassing a multitude of disciplines and specialties. As Vice President of the Quality, Risk and Regulatory at Community Medical Centers of Fresno, her top priority is ensuring safe and synchronized clinical practices to improve operational excellence, bolster collaborative efforts, and provide optimal patient care. In the face of seemingly overwhelming responsibilities, Ms. Strom remains composed. She views the challenge of improving processes as not only her passion, but also a necessary step toward healthcare advancement. She maintains, “We cannot afford to do nothing,” hoping to eradicate the sense of apathy and carelessness that can sometimes appear in the healthcare profession. She is also committed to educating future professionals, having served on the advisory board for nursing programs at Allan Hancock College and Cuesta College in California.
Ms. Strom earned a master’s degree in nursing administration from the University of Phoenix in 1996 before completing a fellowship in a healthcare leadership program in 2003. She holds a bachelor’s degree in health services from Northern Arizona University and is a registered nurse.
