Harold R. Borchert, R.Ph. is the Director of Radiation Control and former project manager of credentialing reform for the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, a medical licensing branch serving the people of Lincoln, Nebraska. With a varied background in pharmaceutics and radiation health physics, Mr. Borchert is responsible for approving the use of radiopharmaceuticals in hospitals, clinics and doctors’ offices as a health pharmacist. He feels that he has largely been able to thrive in his chosen capacity due to his ability to work with people in the radiation control program. He became involved in his profession because he wanted to pursue a career in pharmacy and, after finding that his current position was available and to his liking, decided to apply for it. Mr. Borchert holds a Master’s Degree in Radiation Health Physics obtained from North Dakota State University, and he is a member of the American Pharmacists Association, The Rho Chi Society, and Sigma Xi.
