Springfield, MO, April 8, 2011, Katherine Hart, Generalist at St. John’s Smith Glynn Callaway Clinic, has been recognized by Elite American Health Professionals for dedication, achievements and leadership in laboratory services.

Ms. Hart has lent her expertise in all aspects of a medical laboratory to St. John’s Smith Glynn Callaway Clinic for the past seven years. Although based in this particular clinic, she is called upon to perform all of the laboratory tests for all of the St. John’s Clinics and urgent care centers in the surrounding area. Driven by her interest in chemistry and desire to help others, Ms. Hart believes that her success is a result of excellent teachers, her upbeat and energetic personality and dedication to providing excellent customer and patient care. In recognition of such devotion, she received an award from the American Red Cross for outstanding work and dedication, presented by Elizabeth Dole.

Ms. Hart is a graduate of Iowa State University with a bachelor’s degree in zoology. She furthered her education through the American Society for Clinical Pathology, from which she earned a medical technologist designation. A member of the Ozark Shorthorn Association, she is a club leader for 4-H, a board member of the Green County 4H Foundation and lends her support to her local church.
