Her professional affiliations include the American Association of Women Dentists and the Indian Dental Association. She holds a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, which she earned in India. Throughout her academic career, Dr. Hyder was honored with numerous awards, including the Dr. Robert N. Wilson Scholarship Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement and the Dr. Lowell Dale Blevins Scholarship Outstanding Academic Achievement Award.

In the future, Dr. Hyder hopes to return to school to further her education.
