Nancy L. Wedman, LPT is a retired Physical Therapist, formerly of the Anne Carlsen Center for Children. Ms. Wedman specializes in the treatment of children with congenital and acquired disabilities, and prior to her retirement, she performed evaluations on child patients and treated children with congenital problems. She also organized and established programs that assisted children. Ms. Wedman is a recipient of a number of service awards and an award of appreciation for her efforts. She attributes her success to her knowledge, training and passion for working with children. The most gratifying aspect of her career was helping to find the right treatment protocols for children with physical or cognitive disabilities so that they could become as independent as possible. She also worked with outpatient toddlers who were too young to attend the school. Ms. Wedman learned to monitor and make adjustments on industry-specific equipment, and to train in power mobility. She has many stories and memories from her years at the school, and feels fortunate to have ongoing contact with a number of the clients she worked with. Ms. Wedman has seen many go on to have happy lives.
