JACKSONVILLE, OR, September 13, 2012, Rebecca Sandu has been recognized by Elite American Health Professionals for dedication, achievements, and leadership in home care nursing.
Ms. Sandu, the owner and manager of Jacksonville Home Care, a premier senior care facility, specializes in geriatrics-related services, post operative recovery, and the treatment and care of young disabled patients. At her post, she is in charge of monitoring medication, overseeing activities of daily living, and preparing nutritious meals. Ms. Sandu also trains other health care professionals, remains in close touch with doctors and families to remain abreast of patients’ continuing medical needs, and meets medical, physical, social and cognitive and spiritual needs.
Ms. Sandu fosters five residents for care in her home, and trains family members on the care of their loved ones. Her goal is to meet all the residents’ needs, not just the physical ones. Her family desires to provide interaction and attention to her patients and their loved ones, along with stimulating activities. According to Ms. Sandu, she aims to provide comfort, love, and stability to each and every resident that enters the doors of her facility. Ms. Sandu became involved in her profession after working for a urology clinic. She loved her job but she was gone all day, so she switched to the operating room, but that was a more of a difficult schedule for her as well. She was appreciative of her work but balancing home life was a challenge. Now she is in charge of her own schedule and she knew that she had the skills to provide the proper care for residents.
