Following her graduation from Temple University with two Ph.D.s, Dr. Alexander-Hairston began her 30-year career as a psychologist. With a concern for the well being of her patients, she conducted therapeutic studies to discern which categories her patients fell under. She maintained a high level of meticulousness in her studies because she wanted to find the best treatment programs for them. The most rewarding part of her work was watching her patients develop, grow and exhibit positive behavioral changes.

Now retired, Dr. Alexander-Hairston is focusing her attention on her endeavors in writing.
