As the territory manager, Mr. Greeson is responsible for assisting surgeons to ensure that they are using the correct size and device for their patients, building interpersonal relationships with physicians, and assisting surgeons during operating room procedures. Mr. Greeson previously served for seven years in the United States Army after graduating with a Bachelor of Science in history from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1995. Mr. Greeson feels fortunate to have had an opportunity to work with extremely talented individuals in every field, including his military officers (Brigadier General H.R. McMaster and Major General Rickey L. Rife), all of his classmates from West Point, orthopedic surgeon Steven H. Weeden, MD, his father Jon Michael Greeson Sr., who was a highly successful military officer, and his step-mother, who is a regional manager with Pfizer and who inspired him to enter the medical industry. Attributing his success to his hard work and extensive product knowledge, Mr. Greeson is honored to have had many mentors throughout his career, including Dr. Steven Weeden who has played a major role in Mr. Greeson’s success as a mentor and teacher. Mr. Greeson has been honored with an Ortho Elite Award in 2008 and a President’s Club Award from Smith & Nephew in 2007-2008. He has also been honored by the United States Military for his hard work and dedication, including a Meritorious Service Medal in 2002, an Aviator’s Badge in 1996, a Parachutist Badge in 1994, and an Air Assault Badge in 1993. Mr. Greeson adds that when faced with obstacles one should “hang tough and never give up”, a motto that was told to him by an upperclassman at West Point when Mr. Greeson was a terrified young cadet, and a motto he still lives by 20 years later.
