Walk, Founder and Executive Director of Hope International Services, has been recognized by Elite American Healthcare Professionals for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in missionary work.With 23 years of experience, Dr. Walk is the founder and executive director of Hope International Services, a nonprofit organization providing the promotion of Christian missionary endeavors. She invites leaders from different nations to an annual conference she holds in America on how to better the lives of their people. In addition, she hosts a weekly radio show and travels to third world countries to heal and teach the word of God. After building an orphanage in Malawi in 2004, she established new churches in Africa and Russia, and developed a rural health program in Bangladesh. She also built nursing homes for the elderly in Bangladesh and Nigeria. Having published her poetry with Cambridge of England, she is currently writing her third book, an autobiography named “Beyond Abundance.”Dr. Walk received her MD from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 1968. She is a certified medical practitioner and the president of the Nevada Academy of Family Physicians. Recognized on Americas Top Family Doctors in 2007 and 2008, she attained the Outstanding Family Practice Physician of the Year Award, the Woman of the Year from Dana College and the Outreach of the Year Award from World Mission Broadcast. She was inspired by a missionary doctor to pursue her vocation, and she attributes her success to her hard work and perseverance. In the future, she intends to pass her company on to someone else and travel overseas to help those in need. For instance, she plans to go to Pakistan to teach women how to work with men.With the support of her husband, Louis Walk, and her faith in God, Dr. Walk is able to help children and families in need and show them there is hope.
