Siesel, Doctor of Podiatric Medicine and associate professor at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, has been recognized by Elite American Health Professionals for demonstrating dedication, leadership, and excellence in practice and education of podiatric medicine.An expert in clinical biomechanics, podiatric biomechanics, podiatric sports medicine and podiatric pediatrics, Dr. Siesel has dedicated over 22 years to the practice of podiatry. As an associate professor, Dr. Siesel teaches clinical lower extremity biomechanics and lower limb anatomy in both the classroom and laboratory settings. When she is not teaching and training future podiatric physicians, Dr. Siesel practices out of her own private practice where she devotes her time to patients at a local retirement community and at an assisted living facility primarily for patients with Alzheimer’s disease. Attributing her success to her hard work, desire to help others and her dedication to continually being open to learning new procedures and techniques, Dr. Siesel chose a career in podiatry after being influenced by her grandmother.As a graduate of the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine (OCPM), Dr. Siesel earned a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in 1989. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from Bowling Green State University, earned in 1984. Her greatest achievement in her vast career was attaining a U.S. Patent for a heel device she developed. During her free time away from her work in podiatry, Dr. Siesel remains active in recreational sports and volunteers her knowledge and expertise as an aid runner at various local marathons, half-marathons, and 100-mile races.A Board Certified physician from the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Siesel enjoys remaining abreast of current topics in her field by reading The Foot, Lower Extremity Review, The Foot and Ankle Specialist, Biomechanics Magazine, Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association, and Podiatry Management. Dr. Siesel has been honored in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers, Who’s Who Among America’s Business Professional Women, Who’s Who of Executives and Business Professionals, Metropolitan Who’s Who of Professional Educators, and America’s Top Podiatrists.
