After Annia M. Diggs graduated from The Pennsylvania State University, she started out as a lab technician working on animals and research. She had no experience working on humans or environmental monitoring but was interested in advancing the field of medicine. Ms. Diggs has been serving in the industry from nearly a decade and is recognized for her expertise in PCR and anaerobic assays with pores. In her role, she is tasked with overseeing the production of the cancer vaccines, as well as QC testing, cells, QA review, and pancreatic, breast and prostate cancers. Additionally, Ms. Diggs developed/performed some of the QC release testing assays, as well as experiments. She also wrote study reports for environmental monitoring and QC purposes. She attributes her success to her versatility and ability to handle increasing responsibilities. Looking toward the future, Ms. Diggs plans to pursue a master’s degree in regulation possibly at Johns Hopkins University. She also wants to move beyond academia and work for a pharmaceutical company.
