Naples, Florida, September 28, 2015, Pauline R. Riemer, Retired Psychiatric Social Worker, has been recognized by Elite American Health Professionals for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of social work.
An expert in medical social work, Mrs. Riemer served others for more than 47 years. As a psychiatric social worker, Mrs. Riemer conducted psychological and psychosocial counseling, assisted doctors, and helped everyone she could. Inspired by her family, she dedicated her life and career to helping others. She attributes her success to her love for her profession and the excellent education she received.Mrs. Riemer believes that her parents had a huge influence on her personality and ideals. She never understood how fortunate she was to have such a loving family, until she entered college and found other students who had come from broken or single-parent homes. Having both parents offer their love and understanding changed her entire life for the better. Her father always impressed upon her to pay back the community since she had been bestowed so many fortunes in life. With the support of her family and education she was able to give back to her community as her father had inspired. Not only has she dedicated her career to helping others she has spent her personal time volunteering for various charities. She has been a fundraiser for various youth orchestra and museum events, she has donated to various scholarship funds including the Hodges University School of Social Work, Keuka College, the University of Buffalo, and the Florida Gulf Coast University. She has also lent her abilities to the Philharmonic Center for the Arts as a volunteer.Mrs. Riemer received her Master of Social Work from SUNY Buffalo in 1957 and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from Keuka College in 1945. Her professional affiliations include the National Association of Social Workers, the American Association of University Women, the English-Speaking Union, the East Naples Civic Association, and the Naples Philharmonic League. She has been honored with the National Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Association of Social Workers at Syracuse, New York in 1989 and an Award for Philanthropy in Scholarship Programs from the English-Speaking Union.Ms. Riemer was originally selected for inclusion in EliteAMERICAN Health Professionals in 2010 We are proud to be featuring Ms. Riemer again in EliteAMERICAN Health Professionals for 2015.
