Carmen Cutler is a certified business and life coach who specializes in equine assistant psychotherapy (EAP). She works about three days a week at Oak Canyon Retreat, an EAP services provider based in California. A certified professional in EAP since 2008, Ms. Cutler is able to use horses as a learning tool to help clients overcome various professional and personal obstacles. She utilizes EAP and other coaching methods to help clients improve mental health, build business and leadership skills, and address issues such as post-traumatic stress disorder, substance abuse, depression and anxiety. Furthermore, Ms. Cutler shows returning veterans and their families how to get back into and acclimated to society.

In 1982, Ms. Cutler earned a Bachelor of Arts in business from California Polytechnic State University. She was introduced to her current line of work by her brother, who is a psychiatrist. Ms. Cutler intends to continue succeeding in EAP and life coaching in the coming years. When she isn’t working, she enjoys horseback riding, fishing and gardening. She also volunteers with the Animal Friends Rescue Project.
